"We're still alive!" The cry in defense of the people who hold up the sky echoed in Rio de Janeiro's Carnival!
In February 2024, the Salgueiro samba school celebrated the beauty, the ancient knowledge, and the resistance of the Yanomami people with the theme “Hutukara”.
A journey that began in October 2023 when the shaman Davi Kopenawa brought his message about the importance of protecting the Amazon to the community of Morro do Salgueiro.
